Then I started to experiment with different sorts of carriers, which eventually led me to the discovery of artificial fur, but it wasn't until I realized you can “draw” on it, that I had some sort of a eureka moment.

With “drawing on it” I meant that I could fix the hairs in any direction and getting the image I wanted. The first painting I did that way was a small seascape and I knew immediately, this was what I was looking for. It also meant that it was time to leave Brussels.
