"I am an artist who paints. I think in paint, I see in paint, I feel in paint, I wonder in paint and I dream in paint. How can I not paint? Impossible!"
"I use traditional-historical subjects like portraits, nudes and landscapes who have proven they’re merits. But I use them because it helps me to focus on the painting itself. For me the How in painting is more important than the What."
Everything Is Silhouette
"Early on I introduced the silhouette as a basic model into my paintings. I discovered over the years that it entailed endless possibilities, through form, color, line or any other way you can come up with. It behaves as an anti-form, it is there and it's not. And the funny part is that every time I finish a new series, I end up with two answers, two possibilities, and I have to start all over again."
